Case Study: Tommy Hilfiger, Fifth Avenue

The street, the staircase, and the brand––all elements that made bringing this Tommy Hilfiger project together photographically both a challenge and a joy. Located at 681 Fifth Avenue in New York City, the project has a complicated interior with a lot of product, offset by a grand sweeping staircase, which dominated no matter the camera-position. The best retail photography substitutes the camera for the shopper, drawing the viewer into the photographic space. Here, I used the staircase as the common vantage point in a number of the images, presenting the viewer with multiple unique and enticing perspectives.
