Retail Centers

Imagine arriving at a four million square foot retail project in the middle of China, with only drawings and a translator. How do you make it human? How do you make the photography support your client’s goals and exceed their expectations? I’ve had this opportunity many times in my career. Experience has taught me two things. First, getting the “Hero Shot” is critical. But, to get those grand architectural photographs, I also need to get a feel for the people and how they interact with the physical space. Working at the human scale adds depth and understanding to the visual stories being told in these large environments.
